Yesterday I went on our annual day out to Aintree racecourse for "Ladies Day" of the Grand National. The weather was superb, probably the niceset day of the year so far which was good.
There were probably over 50k people attending again and it really is a superb day and obvious why it is the number one occasion of the year in Liverpool.
I left the betting to my mate Sean again, but on the day we really ran bad and didnt get a sniff of anything, i think one each way bet came in which only paid our stake back for that race, and that was it for the afternoon. Some of the other lads where hitting 25-1 winners but oh well. I only bet £5 per race anyway to be social so only ended the day £40 down so it wasnt too bad.

Drinking wise i really toned it down yesterday (see some previous posts) and we still managed to hit Liverpool City Centre afterwards, however today i dont really have any kind of hangover whatsoever which makes a change from the 3-day comas i have put myself in after the last couple of all dayers!!!
We got home at about 1.30am and felt pretty much sober so decided to fire up a couple of tables for a short "sweat" session (someone watching you play/discussing play). It was quite interesting to be honest and its amazing how you can disect hands when you you talk them through. We also talked about my poker in general and I will mention on here how much appreciated and helpfull my mate Seans constant support is/has been over the last few years......cheers Lad.
Mrs R picked the winner of the Grand National again today, that makes it 3 out of 3 for the last three years, nice one, i think she will be picking our bets for next years ladies day.........Sean your fired mate LOL!!!
