Plans for September

I finished work the other day for nearly a month (back in on the 27th Sept) which is always a great feeling. On Saturday we go off on a week long break to Somerset (not the beach type holiday depicted in the photo above!!).  We have rented a cottage on a farm with the in-laws which should make for a nice relaxing break.

Pokerwise i am mega exited and focused. Last month i worked on my full ring game and although finishing the month only $68 in profit (after bonus') the last few days saw me make about 5 buy-ins in about 8k hands whilst 24-tabling NL$25. 
I went onto PTR and checked out how the biggest winner at NL$25 full ring on Pokerstars was playing and how his stats differed to my own : Some player from Uraguay called "AnnaClaren" who last month played 250,000 hands and won over $2k, plus at least $1k in bonus' which is pretty cool playing only NL$25.

With the changes to my game made,  i hit the tables and noticed the difference almost immediately and as i have been playing with a 100 buy-in bankroll i have been able to play without even worrying about the $$$ swings involved.  Like i say i won about 5 buy-ins in the last 8k hands last month and today although breaking even i felt i played pretty good. The graph below of todays hands shows how the swings/short term luck can come into play.  (the red line showing what i would have won if the luck factor was taken out,i.e the EV expected value).  What was also good was I went nearly 4 buy-ins down without even blinking and letting it alter my gameplay or mindset. I played well, got my money in good and exploited my opponents......its been a while since i can say that!!!

When i get back from holiday i am going to batter the volume and hope to make some decent $$$$ (for NL$25). I am still Platinum Star on Pokerstars which should help increase the bonus' i get for playing loads of hands. However i will be glad of the week long break beforehand....no computers and no poker!!!!
